The goal of JumpStart! is for every student to have a positive beginning to their school day which heightens their senses and increases their focus on learning the skills they need to be successful in school and in life. Each morning students arrive early for 20 minutes of exercise in the JumpStart! program. Movement before class wakes kids up and readies their brains for learning. Benefits trickle into other areas of student life as well. Teachers and administrators have noticed benefits including improved self-esteem, increased attendance, and fewer discipline slips.
