The submission window for the ASAP Innovation Competition has closed as of April 2nd, 2012 at 11:59pm EDT. Thank you to all who participated.
The “Schools Programs” category of the ASAP Innovation Competition is open to teams of teachers, administrators, parents, coaches, students and other educators who are involved with an innovative physical activity program in their school or district. Public, private, charter, and parochial schools are all eligible; we want to learn about any and all innovative physical activity programs across the country. ‘Program’ may refer to any curriculum, activity, environmental modification, event, or other initiative that promotes quality school-time physical activity among the target population (elementary school children ages 5-12).
To apply, interested parties should form a team of 2-6 individuals and designate a team leader. See “How To Apply”. The team leader must be an employee of the school or district where the entry program is deployed; the team leader must be an adult over the age of 18. Teams are also strongly encouraged to include at least one student who is a participant in the entry program.
